It’s been so long since I’ve written a post, so long that the whole process of writing a post has changed, I’m liking this new and updated WordPress. My studies and life have been catching up to me but I have a newfound enthusiasm to get back into blogging so I thought i’d get back into the swing things with a tag post that I got tagged in literally a few months ago! It’s been on my to-do list and it’s such a cold day so it’s apt to be answering questions from the sweater weather tag which I was tagged in by the lovely Bapalaya.
1. Favorite candle scent?
I’ve abandoned candles recently and have been burning wax melts from the brand Little Hotties, I love the combinations you can create my favourite being coconut, white linen and parma violet. Plus I’m a little safety conscious so the electric wax burner from Glade is perfect for me.
2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
I love herbal teas, particularly green tea with cranberry.
3. What’s the best fall memory you have?
The Hindu festival Diwali is around November time so I have fond memories of celebrating that with the Indian side of my family, I love all the candles, the fireworks and most memorable the good food.
4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
This was a hard decision but probably dark lips, I have a penchant for dark lipsticks and Autumn/Winter is the best time to wear them, some of my favourites are Diva by Mac, Divine Wine by Maybelline and Growl by Illamasqua.
5. Best fragrance for fall?
I stick with the same fragrance all year round, which is Flash by Jimmy Choo, it’s just suitable for all occasions and memorable.
6. Favorite Thanksgiving food (or fall food if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving?)
Baked sweet potato and vegetarian chilli, it’s so comforting and healthy!
7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
Very unpredictable, sun, rain, wind, freezing temperatures all in the same hour.
8. Most worn sweater?
Either a mustard coloured baggy one I got from Forever 21 a year or two ago or my most recent favourite, a cut out shoulder black sweater from Hollister. I really love the trend of cut out shoulders, I don’t understand where it’s come from, it kinda reminds me of the Regina George cut out boob hole scene from mean girls (I hope someone gets it) but I love it.
9. Must-have nail polish this fall?
I’ve been loving Mine’s a Mocha by Ciate, I love the dark brown colour and the slightly sparkly finish.
10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
I’d much prefer a football game, but only because i’ve had bad experiences in the past of jumping into leaf piles and being greeted with a dog excrement covered shoe…
11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Skinny jeans all the way.
12. Combat boots or Uggs?
I haven’t worn either in years but i’d definitely go for combat boots, although I secretly think Uggs are the comfiest things in the world.
13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
I don’t think so, it’s not my kind of flavour.
14. Favorite fall TV show?
I sadly don’t have one, but American Horror Story Hotel has been on my weekly viewing list, I’m not sure if I like it or not but I can’t look away.
15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
White Winter Hymnal by Fleet Foxes, it just gives me cold, autumny wintery vibes.
16. Halloween- Yay or Nay?
Definitely yay, I loved the festivities this year and can’t wait till next year already.
17. Fall mornings or evenings?
Evenings, I’m happy it’s getting darker sooner, it means I can put fairy lights on sooner!
18. What do you think about Black Friday?
It’s not that big here in the UK but I will definitely be looking out for some discounted christmas presents, I have a lot to get this year, oh the pitfalls of getting older 😦
19. One Fall 2015 trend you love?
I don’t really have a particular trend, but the colours, I love the browns and burgundy’s that fill shops.
20. Favorite type of pie?
Does Shepard’s Pie count? If so that, if not a traditional steak and ale pie. My taste buds are pretty British.
Thank you so much from reading, this is such a good tag so if you want to answer it go ahead! Although it’s pretty much the end of Autumn and Winter is creeping it’s little head around the corner this tag is still appropriate. Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend 🙂
